YAMAGATA Artists-in-School 2025
“YAMAGATA Artists-in-School” is a project that sends artists to schools in Yamagata city to allow them to have classes or workshops.
We carry out this project with the hope that young generation who will bear the future of Yamagata city can have opportunities to experience culture and art to nurture their creativity.
In 2025, Conducts at YAMADERA Elementary School
We sent a film director NAGAOKA Hiroaki who lives in Yamagata city as an instructor for 5th and 6th grades students in Yamadera Elementary School, where they have been producing tourist pamphlets of Yamadera in their Integrated Studies class, and he conducted total two classes to help students create PR videos to be posted on the pamphlets.

Let’s make the videos better – guidance and advice by the instructor based on the videos edited by students

NAGAOKA Hiroaki
Representative Director, ＴＲＹＡＮＧＬＥ Co.,Ltd. （Video production company in Yamagata city）
NAGAOKA Hiroaki was born in Yamagata city. After working for a production company in Yamagata city for about 20 years, he moved to a television station where he was in charge of news coverage and production during his 25 years broadcaster life. He is now independent and has started his own company, ＴＲＹＡＮＧＬＥ Co.,Ltd. In addition to supporting program production for NHK and commercial broadcasters, he also works as a “video creator”, producing movies, corporate promotional videos, and social media videos.
In this project of “Artists-in-School”, he held a class in West Elementary School in 2024. Beyond that, in other project of Yamagata Creative City Promotion Council, “Yamagata Renaissance Project” which is a filmmaking project themed on the culture of Yamagata city, he has produced three works until now, and one of them won an Excellence Awards at the film contest of TOHOKU Audiovisual Festival in 2025.
