YAMAGATA Artists-In-Residence Program

“YAMAGATA Artists-In-Residence” is a residency program that invites domestic and overseas artists to support their creative activities and engagement in exchange activities with citizens in Yamagata city.
We hope that this program inspires artists to create new works with Yamagata’s rich nature, climate and culture… While local communities can re-realize the regional appeal through interaction with artists and creative works…
We also hold events that allow artists and citizens to exchange, providing opportunities for mutual learning.
