What’s Creative Café？

Yamagata City of Film organizes a monthly event named Creative Café, where people in Yamagata can exchange opinions and get to know each other without concerning the differences in age, sex, and nationality.

There are two types of 2019 Creative Café:

1. an event inviting a guest speaker from culture or film section to talk, discuss or do workshop
2. a screening to introduce works made in Yamagata City 

The most interesting part of this project is that the council staffs take each turn to organize the event  so that every events are unique and different!

• Take “Benichan bus” to “Honcho” bus stop and 3 minutes walk to the venue
• The Yamagata Manabikan Free Parking was closed due to road construction. Please use public transportations or public parkings to reach the venue.

This is High School Life in Yamagata! Let’s see how the students at Yamagata Prefectural East Senior High School live their high school life here. 

After the 18:00 screening, we hold a talk event inviting the students who made the short film “High School Life in Yamagata” and actually went off to Papua province, Indonesia, to screen their own film for our creative project “Yamagata Film Package to the World”. They will talk about their experience on their filmmaking and the trip to Indonesia.
