Yamagata Film School Online Course

About Yamagata Film School

The Yamagata Film School is created in the first instance for students studying at home due to the closure of all schools in Japan in response to COVID-19, however the design of this online film school is such that people of all ages can enjoy these classes.

We have teamed up with people from our region who work in a range of disciplines to be instructors in this film school  They deliver classes in subjects such as activities related to Yamagata’s role as a UNESCO Creative City of Film, the history of films and film making in Yamagata and the role of film as a key element in fostering international friendship and understanding.
